What are the CVV sites?

cvv

To purchase a credit card, CVV (card verification value) is required. Three digits code embedded on the backside of the card usually refers to CVV. While paying online for shopping or anything else, sometimes they require a card name, card number, and expiry date, and then CVV is used there because it contains all such information.  You can purchase these CVV codes from any best CVV shop or best CVV site for a few dollars.

CVV numbers are not secret PIN:

A credit card uses the secret PIN (personal identification code) while paying out of credit card. Only the cardholder knows this pin, but CVV is printed on the card. Sometimes, people are confused with the PIN code and the CVV numbers. CVV numbers only contain the basic information of credit card and cardholder.

How to get CVV numbers?

Some credit cards have their CVV numbers embedded on them, but some cards don’t. So, you purchase them from online sites or CVV shops. These numbers can be generated by using a credit card number and expiry date. You can’t get your CVV number with an expired credit card. Basically, CVV numbers are the algorithmic calculation of credit card number and expiry date. Some banks also provide you with an option of a mobile app by which you can generate your CVV number.

Use of CVV numbers:

CVV numbers prove that you have your card physically while paying online. This decreases the security risks regarding your credit card and also makes the purchase more legit. Providing CVV number, while online shopping, will secure your card from fraud or any other scam. In simpler words, it’s a kind of security layer that protects your card from wrong use.

Transaction without CVV numbers:

It’s impossible to transact money online through your credit card without a CVV number. Withdrawing money by swipe or chip method can be possible without a CVV number. All you need is to enter your card number, your PIN, or OTP (one time password) to transfer money by your credit card physically.

Sharing CVV number:

As you know, the CVV number contains all the official information about the card and cardholder, so it could be risky to share your CVV number with any unauthorized access. If someone has your CVV number and your credit card number, you can lose control of your card. They can make online transactions and online purchasing. Sharing CVV increases or doubles the risk of the security of your card. Having a CVV number also meant that they have your personal information, which they can use against you. So, never share your CVV number, card number, PIN with anyone to make your card secure. If you have already told someone your CVV number, don’t worry if you want to secure your card, then immediately block it and get a new card from the bank.

Conclusion:

CVV numbers are provided by the bank from which you get your credit card, and you can also purchase them from CVV shops and CVV sites. These numbers are required while purchasing online or transacting money online. Basically, these numbers ensure the security and physical presence of the card to the user.
