Desiree’ Stapleton on Moving Past Adversities to Living a Fulfilled Life

Desiree’ Stapleton on Moving Past Adversities to Living a Fulfilled Life In life, everyone has experienced some form of adversities and obstacles, dark and grim days when nothing seems to be right. Still, a person’s reaction to those challenging moments often determines success. Desiree’ Stapleton is a woman who has taken a few nasty hits from life, but with determination and a resilient spirit, she didn’t stay down. She got back on her feet and learned to thrive. Today, Desiree’ is a certified master life coach, author, and CEO. She is also a mindfulness, happiness, life purpose, goal success, career, and mental health life coach. Desiree’ delights in sharing her life’s journey with others, especially women, coaching them on how to make lemonade out of life’s sour lemons and live up to their potential. Desiree’ Stapleton lived in her own shadow for most of her adult life, shrinking herself for others and suffering in silence. Not yet rooted in her boundaries, when people projected their fear and realism to her, she internalized it. The fear then took roots, its venom slipping into her daily life. “I’ve always wanted to fly, but no one around me has ever done it. So each time I got to the ledge to take off, something somebody said convinced me that I should play it safe,” she shared. Not too long ago, Desiree’ hit rock bottom. She’d experienced molestation, an abusive relationship, homelessness due to other people’s actions, sleeping in her car during winters, struggling for income, self-harm, and suicidal ideation in her lifetime. But last year, losing her job, ending her relationship, and facing a sexual assault from her coworker, sent her over the edge. At this point in her life, the worst had happened, and as the saying goes, “When you hit rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but up.” Desiree’ realized that she must take back control of her life, so she started therapy at the pandemic’s peak in 2020. Three months after treatment, she went into isolation, taking some time for herself away from everyone. During this time, she began writing her first book, then later published it, and became a published author of a book on Walmart’s website. Placing one foot in front of the other, she launched her first company FMYX, LLC., opened its doors to the public and started selling uplifting apparel and journals with quotes like “Actually…I Can” and “She Shan’t be Stopped.” Unstoppable now, Desiree’ got business coaching from a former top-selling corporate exec. She then created her courses and wrote a second book to help women in her former predicament overcome the challenges. While doing that, she opened her second company, Desiree’ Stapleton & Company, LLC, a consulting and coaching firm building a community for boss women to come together to feel seen, heard, and understood. Through her coaching company, coaching women from all over the globe, including Zambia, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Philippines, Singapore, Canada, Spain, and Australia, Desiree’ caters to everyone in need by offering 1:1 coaching, workshops, courses, and creating groups and environments curated for personal growth and development. Her outstanding success as an entrepreneur who rose from the bottom has been acknowledged by many notable publications such as Influencive, Authority Magazine, Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, Thrive Global, etc. She has also been listed in NY Weekly’s 30 Under 30 list for 2021. In the coming years, Desiree’ Stapleton wants to collaborate with many well-known names in the personal growth industry, such as Brené Brown, Iyanla Vanzant, Lisa Nichols, and many others. Armed with big plans, she aims not only for her coaching firm to transform into a household name but also to enable the success of more people in need of guidance.
