When conducting interviews, one topic you should discuss is where the candidate sees themselves in the future. If they don’t have much of a plan, they likely won’t be the motivated staff member you are looking for. Those that seem passionate about developing within the company, however, are usually the ones that will work hard and stay loyal to the business. 

Remember, though, that it’s not just about hiring people that are passionate about development – it’s also about providing those people with the opportunities to do so. If someone has a resume filled with work experience that never seems to last very long, you should consider why that is. 

How Well They Would Fit In 

It’s not just about how well someone works – it’s also about how they will affect the workplace atmosphere. You need to think about your current employees when hiring someone new, after all. Not only do you want someone passionate with a great work ethic, but you also want someone who seems like they’d be a good fit for the team. 

What Other Staff Members Think

A candidate who doesn’t care much about the company won’t ask too many questions and won’t have done the research. Those who do care, though, will already be knowledgeable about the business before the interview and will seek to learn more about it.
