The 2021 NFL season is right around the corner, and with the draft upcoming, football is back on people’s minds again and the online betting sites have released odds for the upcoming campaign.

Last season’s AFC champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, are the favorites to win both their conference and the Super Bowl, with the reigning champions, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, heading the betting in the NFC.

But what about each individual four-team division? Below, we break down the odds for each of them.

AFC East

The Buffalo Bills cruised to victory in the AFC East last year and went all the way to the AFC Championship game where they fell short against the Chiefs.

There is optimism in Buffalo that they can go deep again with Josh Allen getting better each year, so it is no surprise to see them odds-on at -150 to win the division.

The Miami Dolphins are next at +300, with the New England Patriots a touch bigger at +375.

With a number two pick to come at the NFL Draft, the New York Jets remain in rebuild mode and are priced at +2000.

AFC North

Three of the four teams in this division made it to Wild Card Weekend last term as each of them won at least 11 games in the regular season.

Therefore, the betting sites believe it will be close between the Baltimore Ravens (+110), Cleveland Browns (+190), and Pittsburgh Steelers (275)

For the Cincinnati Bengals (+2200), the priority is to get Joe Burrow back on the field and aligned with the offense which showed some signs of life after his arrival.

AFC South

Both the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts went 11-5 in 2020 and the sportsbooks believe they will be the clear top two this year in the AFC South.

The Colts – with Carson Wentz now at quarterback – are slight favorites at +100, or you can get the Titans at +115.

There is uncertainty in Houston (+1000) with Deshaun Watson’s future still not clear, while the Jacksonville Jaguars will surely acquire Trevor Lawrence with the number one draft pick but at +1200 it’s a big ask for him to lead them to a division title in year one.

AFC West

Unsurprisingly, the Chiefs are as short as -400 to secure a sixth successive AFC West crown.

Patrick Mahomes leads the betting in the MVP market, but there is another young quarterback in the division in the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert who will be looking to usurp him in years to come.

The Chargers are priced at +450 this year, while the Oakland Raiders are at +1100 and the Denver Broncos can be backed at +1600.

NFC East

This has been the most bizarre division in the league over the past few years, and in 2020, none of the four franchises emerged with a winning record.

The Washington Football Team won the NFC East with a 7-9 record, and a repeat of that is +275 with online betting sites.

With Dak Prescott set to return, the Dallas Cowboys are +100 favorites, while the Philadelphia Eagles are at +400 and the New York Giants are +500 in what is a wide-open division.

NFC North

There was absolutely no stopping the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North in 2020. They won it by a five-game margin, coming out on top in 13 of their 16 regular-season games.

The Chicago Bears were their closest rivals but they have failed to significantly upgrade their quarterback and it’s the Minnesota Vikings who are expected to go closer this time around, priced at +400.

Green Bay is at -250, Chicago is +500, and the new-look Detroit Lions are given very little hope at +2800.

NFC South

It’s an intriguing NFC South this year with Tom Brady and the Bucs looking to defend their Super Bowl title. Their division rivals have an unfamiliar look this year with Drew Brees no longer in New Orleans, and Sam Darnold now in Carolina.

Tampa is -150 to top the division, while the Saints aren’t ruled out at +220 and the Panthers are priced at +650.

The Atlanta Falcons are the big outsiders at +1000.

NFC West

Like the NFC East, the NFC West appears impossible to call. The Los Angeles Rams went all out with their trade for Matthew Stafford, and they are joint-favorites with the 2020 NFC champions, San Francisco 49ers, at +188 apiece.

Russell Wilson remains a Seattle Seahawk for now, so they are in the mix at +260.

The Arizona Cardinals have made improvements to their team over the offseason, so the fact that they have the longest odds at +550 highlights the strength of the division.
