WHICH WIG FITS WITH YOUR FACE?

WIG

The shape of the face is an important starting point when choosing a hairstyle. That also applies when choosing a wig. The overview below will help you make the right choice.

Oval face

Is the length of your face about one and a half times the width? Does it gradually narrow down the jawline to the chin? Do you have a nice round hairline? Then you have an oval face. When everything is so beautifully proportioned, you can wear almost any wig. Choose a type that nicely accentuates your oval line of sight. Or go for a haircut that gives your lovely lines a boost!

Round face

If your face is twice as wide as it is long, if you have a round jawline and a round hairline, you will have a round face. Choose a wig style that just accentuates height. For example, through the crown, or a layered hairstyle that is styled backwards. By creating volume in height, the face appears longer and narrower. Would you opt for a more straight hairstyle to the jawline or for hair that hangs convex along your face, then you would accentuate the width of your face.

Heart-shaped face

If you look at your face and the jawline extends wide from the chin to the cheekbones and on to the forehead, your face appears heart-shaped. It is relatively wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.

Go for a longer hairstyle, for length to the chin or an asymmetrical style. Go for layers from the top or wispy bangs. A bobline up to chin length creates a balanced look and gives the desired fullness. You can wear shorter styles, and even the half wig stylebut if your face has an exaggerated heart shape, you should choose styles that add volume to the back of the head. By doing this, you will achieve a balance between your pronounced cheekbones and narrow chin. Avoid short, full styles with tapered necklines. They emphasize the width at the top and make you look top heavy. Too much emphasis on the crown gives the appearance of a longer, narrow chin.

 “Square” face

If the length and width of the face is about the same, it may have a somewhat square appearance. Your jawline and hairline may look angular.

In that case, opt for short to medium length styles, especially if they are wavy around the face. Look for wispy bangs rather than a centred cut and avoid height at the crown. Layered styles and uneven looks soften the square look of your face. Curl or wave styles bring softness to your straight, symmetrical features. Avoid straight bangs with linear lines or other styles that are long and straight. Also avoid a straight bob that ends at the jawline. You can wear a layered bob if it ends above or below the jawline.
