Just because Denver’s team has a harmless name, it doesn’t mean that they cannot do damage. In April 2009, the Nuggets beat the Hornets 121-63, with a win of 58 points. It aided them in their fight to win the NBA that year, but the Lakers prevailed in the end. Their efforts were not in vain, though, as they recorded the second biggest win in NBA history. Carmelo Anthony led the Nuggets in this game with 26 points.

No. 1: Charlotte Hornets vs. Memphis Grizzlies, 22nd March 2018 (140-79)

Charlotte didn’t win the NBA in 2018 because they didn’t get past the playoffs with a record of 36-46. However, on this night, the Charlotte Hornets made NBA history. They beat the Grizzlies 140-79, which was a massive 61-point win. The Charlotte Hornets’ star, Kemba Walker, shone brightly in this game as he finished with a whopping 46 points.
